Swastika on mosque wall

Vandals have attacked a Birmingham mosque, daubing the walls with swastikas.
The Nazi symbols were painted on the walls of the Capital Cinema Mosque, Alum Rock Road.
Shocked worshippers discovered them as they arrived for morning prayer at the weekend.
President of the mosque Shafdar Hussain said today he was very disappointed over the incident as relations within the local community were very good.
Today police were hunting the culprits and the areas Labour MP said he was outraged.
Liam Byrne (Lab, Hodge Hill) called on the Commons to fast track new legislation which aims to tackle Islamaphobia and make it an offence to incite religious violence.
He said the vandals should be brought to justice. The sooner we get this law on the statute books the better as there is no place in this city for such racial intolerance, he added.
Just a few days ago we had Prince Harry wearing swastikas to a fancy dress party. It is not giving out the right message at a time when we are all trying to live in harmony.
The city councils graffiti-busting squad has been bought in to remove the daubings.
The EU may ban the use of Nazi symbols after Prince Harry wore a swastika armband at a party.
Franco Frattini, the EUs justice and home affairs commissioner, said he was open to discussing the issue at a ministerial meeting on January 27.
