Wizards sure play a mean pinball!

PINBALL wizards will be racking up the points when the biggest convention of its kind in the UK rolls into Birmingham.
At least 100 pinball machines will fill the UK Pinball Show at the Holte Suite, in Villa Park, from November 12 to 13.
And visitors will score a winner with Mencap - as all cash raised on the door will go to helping the charity continue its work with the mentally handicapped.
Nick Bennett, owner of Pinballers Anonymous, who has organised the event with Pinball Heaven, said: "Birmingham is the perfect choice as it is so central for pinball addicts to get to and we are expecting hundreds of people from Scotland to Germany."
The 33-year-old fanatic from Cheshire, whose business phoneline is even 0870 PINBALL, added: "I grew up in Brighton where there were always loads of pinball machines on the pier.
"There aren't so many now but the last few years has seen a resurgence in their popularity by both anoraks and a new cool element.
"Rows and rows of pinball machines are a real sight to see and it will be free play all day with the highest scorers winning prizes. It's going to be great."
Pinball fans will pay £5 on the door but then have free access to 100 machines all day.
Doors open on Saturday November 12 from 11am to 6pm and November 13 from 10am to 4pm with all entry proceeds to charity.
