Hotel offer is cat's whiskers

Sep 20 2006

TALK about creature comforts!

A hotel in Birmingham has created a special pet bed for guests who cannot bear to be parted from their cats and dogs.

Travelodge, in Broad Street, will trial the mini beds which come complete with mattress, pillow and duvet.

Bosses said the move was in response to a company survey which found almost two-thirds of people admitted they hated leaving their pets behind when away from home.

Travelodge sleep director Wayne Munnelly said: "For a long time, we have allowed customers to bring their cats and dogs with them when they stay with us.

"Now we are adding a little bit extra for those who want to spoil their furry friends by giving them their very own bed."

Guests can bring up to two domestic pets, with a charge of £10 per pet, per stay. The Travelodge pet bed is free of charge.
