AN average rent increase of seven per cent for council tenants is planned by Wolverhampton Council.
It follows a consultation exercise with proposals going to the next full meeting of the council on Wednesday July 12.
A council spokesman said the move reflected a Government guideline rent increase of 10 per cent which had resulted in a £2.5 million loss of Housing Subsidy.
