One of the biggest draws was the "village green" - the car park on Bromsgrove Street and Gooch Street which had been turfed over. Here there was a bouncy castle, gladiator game, jugglers and plate-spinners.
There were also chocolate egg and spoon and three-legged races, handbag hurling, a tug-of-war, a dog show and a children's dressing-up parade.
It is the ninth year the festival, organised by the Birmingham Gay Business Partnership, has been held.
Music was provided in the nearby clubs and bars by chart-toppers Boney M, Bananarama, Liberty X and Michelle Gayle.
