Brum's oldest woman dies

Birmingham's oldest person has died at the age of 109.

Emma Humpage - born in the reign of Queen Victoria - lived through two world wars and the terms of office of 26 Prime Ministers.

Born in Hockley, she was living in Bartley Green when she died. She was a lifelong supporter of Bartley Green Football Club.

A widow, Emma outlived her only son and had three grandchildren and four great-gandchildren.
