Feb 27 2004

By Staff Reporter, Birmingham Post

Detectives last night identified a body found in a car in a lay-by off a dual carriageway as that of a 27-year-old Birmingham man.

Imran Ali, from Finnemore Road, Bordesley Green, had not been seen since Saturday night when he was spotted in Stechford.

West Midlands Police said he was in a distressed state when he went missing along with his K-registration Vauxhall Astra car, which has also disappeared.

His body was discovered in a car along the southbound carriageway of the A38 at Weeford, near Lichfield, in Staffordshire, at 5.30pm on Tuesday.
