The case against a police officer accused of assaulting his wife three times was dropped today.
The Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence against West Mercia Constabulary policeman Mark Willis, who was due to appear before magistrates in Gloucester.
The 49-year-old, of Cobblers Place, Little Witley, Worcestershire, had previously pleaded not guilty to alleged offences of common assault, said to have taken place on November 23 last year.
