Troggs star tells of wild things!

Dave Freak, icBirmingham

Prince William is related to Jesus, while Christ did not die on the cross.

Reg Presley

These are just some of the startling claims made by former 60s popstar Reg Presely. And to prove it, he has written a book - Wild Things They Don't Tell Us - and is hoping to produce a series of TV documentaries.

"We want people to know what has really happened throughout history rather than be dogmatically be told by the church," he says.

Reg hit the charts with The Troggs in 1965, scoring a smash on both sides of the Atlantic with Wild Thing. In the nineties, Love Is All Around became one of the biggest hits of the decade thanks to Wet Wet Wet, and even REM and Rugby's Spiritualized covered Reg's material.

He's now back out on tour with The Troggs alongside Spencer Davis and The Yardbirds (19 March, Wolverhampton Civic, 7 April, Birmingham Symphony Hall), but has increasingly become more interested in UFOs, mysterious tribes, the Holy Grail, crop circles, and alchemy than pop music.

Amongst his many complex beliefs is that Jesus actually married Mary Magdelene and had three children.

"Those children form the basis of all the kings and queens of Europe. It's not a theory - it's come from pages from everywhere, even the Bible."

"The next one who'll be related to this line that goes right back through Europe and into Jerusalem is William, as it came from Diana and the Spencers."

Reg also believes that Christ was a metallurgist, not a carpenter, and that he was cut down alive from the cross.

"He went on to be a great great guy, touring through Europe, preaching what he felt that the church should be.

"There is even proof that Jesus died when he was about 73 on the borders of India and China," he adds.

"I believe in chunks of the bible. Whoever did it did a lot of work. But I have to say that the church changed it, changed the meaning in their teachings, and that is wrong. Even Jesus hated the church and threw a tantrum in it. They didn't take too kindly to that and crucified him. They are a bit mean."

He also understands that beings called the Anunnaki came to earth and altered the DNA of primitive man to create a race of slaves to mine gold. Using a special process they turned the precious metal to a powder which, when consumed over 40 days and 40 nights, increases intelligence and cures fatal illnesses and hereditary defects.

"I have seen the powder," says Reg. "And I am going to have it made for me. That's the next thing, once this tour is over. I shall take it, but only if there's something wrong with me."

As confirmation of our extraterrestrial origins, Reg poses a question.

"When you get up in the morning, you go outside and you squint 'cos it's sunny. Have you ever thought why you squint?

"Have a look around you at the other animals. You can shine your car lights into somebody's eyes and you will blind them, they have to turn away, they put their hands up in front of their face.

"Bloody deer doesn't, rabbits don't, nor do cats! Why's that? We are not from here," he stresses. "We are not from here!"

"This is mind boggling stuff, this information. And it's only just coming out.

"Things have been so wrong for so long, and it can't go on."

"I want people to know. It's the most amazing story every heard, and it's altered my thinking and my way of life and my attitude. I feel much more at peace now that I know this story as there were always too many lose ends."
