The Irish master of mirth Ed Byrne is back in Birmingham with a brand new show.
His new UK tour is appropriately entitled Me Again, reflecting just what a stalwart Ed is on the comedy stand-up circuit.
But future appearances on the comedy stage could be limited in future if the observational genius fulfils his desire to become an actor.
Ed says he is actively and seriously developing his acting career, perhaps inspired by a brief appearance on a Father Ted Christmas Special - the same series that brought us Ardal O'Hanlon and Graham Norton.
In more recent times, Ed appeared in the film Rat with Imelda Staunton and acted in the ITV/LWT Christmas Day panto Aladdin in which he took the title role opposite Patsy Kensit's princess.
More recently he was seen as Davina McColl's flatmate Alex in the ITV sitcom Sam's Game and, this year, made his acting debut at the Edinburgh Festival where he took the lead in Brian McAvera's Kings Of The Road.
Ed is returning to his comedy roots after Me Again sold out at the 2004 Edinburgh Festival.
He has previously performed three hit UK tours and made his London West End debut in a two week run.
But his appeal has also resulted in huge success on the international circuit where he has performed to capacity audiences in Montreal, Dublin, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand.
