A ride through art

Nov 26 2004

The free Art Bus service returns to three of Birmingham's leading art galleries tomorrow.

The unique service will link the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Ikon Gallery and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Gallery.

It will set off from the Barber Institute at the University of Birmingham at 11am, calling at Broad Street/Oozells Square for the Ikon Gallery, then Broad Street for the RBSA, before returning to the Barber and commencing a further circuit.

There is also free weekend parking around the Barber and in the University's South Car Park.

Art Bus co-organiser, Andrew Davies, says: "We thought it would be an ideal time to run Art Bus again, with the John Murphy exhibition at Ikon and the Barber, combined with our other displays and those at the RBSA."

He added: "Art Bus really makes visiting a few vastly different galleries and exhibitions in Birmingham a very easy task and an enjoyable one too."

Timetables for the service can be found on the website at www.barber.org.uk, as well as details of exhibitions at that gallery.

For more information about the exhibitions at the other galleries, visit their websites at www.ikon-gallery.co.uk and www.rbsa.org.uk.
