Vulture thinks it's scary - but not in the way intended. Stratford's most haunted museum The Falstaff's Experience prepares to host its scariest Halloween ever, it says here on this press release. The special three day event looks set to be a series of terrifying evenings for those brave enough to venture into the museum.
Since appearing on Living TV's The Most Haunted programme and voted as the creepiest building in Stratford, the museum has attracted considerable attention from paranormal investigators, psychics, witches and people from across the UK, all desperate to experience the spine-chilling supernatural.
Last year's Halloween event was a huge success with members of the pubic allowed special access into the museum until midnight. Many experienced a number of sinister and unexplained happenings including walking into icy cold patches and the feeling of a hand reaching out and touching them. Others fled the building, too scared to remain there any longer.
This year's Halloween preparations are well under way and will appeal to both families and adults wishing to be genuinely scared, the blurb continues. The events will take place on the evenings of Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October.
The Great Ghost Hunt is just one of three elements of each evening and takes place from 9:30pm to 11pm. As you walk through the museum by lantern, a group of experienced mediums will be placed in the most haunted parts of the museum.
Listen and watch the mediums as they experience the paranormal in front of your eyes. A ghost hunt sheet will be provided for each visitor to record their experiences. Halloween is when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest and the best time to contact lost loved ones.
Genuine white witches organised with the kind help of the Manilowishly inspired Could it be Magic in Shrieves Walk, will help you send a written message to loved ones who have passed to another world, which sounds decidedly dodgy to Vulture.
Each visitor will receive a ghost hunt certificate as a memento of their scary evening. The cost per ticket is £2.50 if pre-booked or £3 on the door. Please note the Great Ghost Hunt is not suitable for children.
Further information on the evening's activities (and this is the bit they really want in) including Halloween Family Fun which will take place from 6pm to 9:15pm with tickets priced at £3 for children (£2.50 if pre-booked) and £6 for adults (£5 if pre-booked) and Midnight Vigils which will take place from 11:30pm to 2:30am with tickets priced at £25 for the evenings of the 29th and 30th and £35 for the evening of the 31st, will be unveiled closer to Halloween. www.falstaffsexperience.co.uk or 0870 350 2770
