Indian flight of fancy

Oct 1 2004

Audiences at Mandragora will be taken on a flight of fantasy to an imaginary India which is being plagued by a series of omens.

King Mandragora can cope with flying fish and fiery peacocks but what is he to make of these strange alien creatures with white skin?

Birmingham-born writer Nirjay Mahindru creates a world filled with kings and queens, soothsayers and clowns in which old and new civilisations can only clash.

Part of the Evening Mail Birmingham Comedy Festival, Mandragora is at Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s Door on October 7-9. Contact 0121 236 4455 or check the www.birmingham-rep.co.uk website.
