It's usually good to speak your mind but blonde bombshell Mariann from punk band Surferosa will have to watch what she says when her band plays at this weekend's Download Festival.
She has strong feelings about one of the headliners, American nu-metallers Linkin Park, and they're sure to upset their fans if she expresses them at the show.
"They're boring commercial rubbish," rants the 24-year-old Norwegian. "I hate them."
Fortunately there are acts on at the Donington Park festival that she is looking forward to seeing.
"Iggy Pop's the main one, and I'm also keen to meet up again with Electric 6 who we've toured with in the past."
Surferosa, who recently supported The Killers at Birmingham's Carling Academy, formed five years ago when Mariann met guitarist Kjetil while they were students at a university in Telemark, near Oslo.
"It's in the middle of nowhere. There were 2,000 residents and 2,000 students. It was a great atmosphere."
But with five guys in the band how does Mariann feel about being the lone woman?
"We're like a family and they treat me like one of the boys," she laughs. "I'm happy with that - we're a great team."
