Prior to the final instalment of Peter Jackson's record breaking Lord of the Rings trilogy, fans get a chance to relive the previous two episodes in a special extended format.
Leading up to the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King the Special Extended Editions of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers are getting a limited cinema release.
Form December 5 to 11, Vue (previously known as Warner Village Cinema) in StarCity will be screening the Special Extended Edition of The Fellowship of the Ring followed, on December 12 to 15, by the Special Extended Edition of TheTwo Towers.
Finally, on Tuesday, December 16, the cinema will show a one-time-only marathon of both Extended Edition prints.
These Special Extended Editions have not been seen in cinemas before, containing additional footage from the official cinema releases which has only been released on DVD.
