Aug 18 2003

DESPITE being the country’s second city, Birmingham is only fifth in the UK in terms of retail space. Birmingham’s shoppers often travel elsewhere to catch up on their retail therapy.

However, with more than 130 new shops, in one fell swoop Bullring will complete the city’s retail offer, increasing retail space by 40 per cent. Bullring will be home to the curvy new £40 million

Selfridges store. Deben-hams is launching the first of the retailer’s “2010” new store concept, as are Nike and Topshop.

And new names such as Billabong and Mango are also part of the complex.
