Property consultancy Drivers Jonas has marked the beginning of its tenth year in Birmingham with the recruitment of ten new staff members, taking numbers at the Cornwall Street office to more than 50.
The latest raft of recruitment follows a period of sustained growth by Drivers Jonas' Birmingham office that saw turnover rise by more than a third year on year as the company secured its position as one of the region's leading property consultancies.
Gary Cardin, planning partner and head of the Birmingham office, said the ten new appointments were essential if the firm was to keep pushing the business forward while delivering results for clients in an increasingly competitive sector.
He said: "We have had a phenomenal last 12 months in terms of the expansion of our business in Birmingham and rather than merely consolidate this success, it is important that we continue to grow and add new business areas to allow us to take full advantage of all the opportunities that present themselves.
"The last year has seen the Birmingham office win a number of key instructions and this latest round of recruitment has strengthened each area of our business and will allow us to continue to improve the service we provide to our clients."
The new recruits are: Adam Jones, a senior surveyor in development; Joanne Hooper, a planner in planning; Adam Taylor, a graduate surveyor in construction; Adam Jacovou, a graduate surveyor in professional services; Helen Jackson, administrator; David Hourihan, a senior surveyor in professional services; Gemma Bussey, a graduate planner in planning; Kola Oliyide, a surveyor in development; Shaza Mark, a graduate planner in planning and Robert Tairo, a trainee surveyor in development.
Mr Cardin said he was optimistic that Drivers Jonas was facing another strong 12 months.
"This year is extremely important for the company in Birmingham as we strive to improve on the previous one but also as we celebrate ten successful years in Birmingham and the role we feel we have played working on projects like Eastside, Martineau Galleries, New Street Station and Baskerville House in transforming this great city.
