GET crafty this Christmas and win one of five pairs of tickets to Crafts for Christmas, Hobbycrafts and Art Materials Live at The NEC in Birmingham from November 8-11.

This hugely popular annual show, features unique, hand-made crafts for Christmas and the home as well as all the creative craft and art supplies you need to create your own masterpieces. This four day extravaganza is a must go for all craft enthusiasts and we have a pair of tickets on offer!

At Crafts for Christmas there will be over 200 individual artisans and craftspeople exhibiting exclusive products, many of which cannot be found on the High street, including beautiful glass vases, exclusive jewellery, stunning silks, clothing and even traditional hand crafted board games.

Experts will be on hand at the Prima Craft Theatre giving inspiring demonstrations and friendly advice followed by hands-on workshops. Here you can learn the art of card making just in time for Christmas, create your own scrapbook full of memories or design a piece of jewellery. Marianne Shillingford from Prima will demonstrate how to make exquisite decorations, table centres and other creative gems for all occasions.

In the Specialist Food Court you’ll discover hundreds of delicious and enticing treats, many of which can be sampled. Take away award winning savoury and sweet pies, handmade cheeses, liquorice, luxury dips and chocolates and put together a mouth-watering hamper full of treats for Christmas.

At Hobbycrafts you can watch the experts in action in the daily demonstrations, learn how to use Fimo and create beautiful sculptures, jewellery or broaches, plus discover how to make personalised greetings cards with pressed flowers or fabric and buttons.

Following last year’s success, the Craft Fashion Show Extravaganza will return to Hobbycrafts, hosted by Origin Publishing’s magazines Cardmaking & Papercraft and Quick Cards Made Easy and compered by Stephanie Weightman from Create & Craft Ideal World TV. With models on the catwalk three times a day showing a selection of unique, handmade Papercraft clothes, accessories, hats and bags - this is an event not to be missed!

Art Materials Live will have an abundance of well-known suppliers such as Daler-Rowney, Derwent, Pro-Arte, Rosemary’s Brushes and the SAA, providing thousands of art materials and inspirational ideas for both the aspiring novice and professional artist. Fine art pencils, digital art papers, brushes, easels, canvases, watercolour and acrylic paints, residential painting courses, lectures, workshops and much more will be available throughout the show.

Be one of the first to experiment with some of the latest products and most innovative materials. A team of resident experts will show off their artistic talent in free demonstrations, encouraging visitors to roll up their sleeves and get creative in workshops and hands on features.

Popular professional artists will produce works of art in pastels, watercolours and oils, allowing people to watch, learn and be inspired. Terry Harrison, Charles Evans, Linda Wain, Fiona Peart and many others will be there to inspire and guide visitors in how to get the most out of their paintings.

Several specialists will host a variety of daily presentations in the theatre areas focusing on new ideas and products. These will include presentations from The Open College of Art, DIY Framing, St. Cuthbert’s Mill and many others.
