THE BBC is celebrating the success of sports stars in the West Midlands with an award ceremony at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on Sunday December 2, and Robinsons are inviting one lucky reader and their guest to go along.
The ceremony, which precedes the annual BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards at the NEC in December, will recognise sporting achievement and excellence across the West Midlands.
A past winner includes Phil Taylor, and this year’s event is also set to host a number of sporting stars.
Robinsons are giving you the chance to attend this exciting evening, and honour individuals from the world of sport, including nominees for the BBC Sports Unsung Hero Award 2007.
This special award, proudly supported by Robinsons, recognises and rewards local volunteers who have made a difference to their community through grassroots sport, whether it’s through preparing facilities, coaching juniors, running local sports leagues or working behind the scenes.
Last year’s BBC West Midlands Unsung Hero 2006 was Val Hanover from Owestry.

Terms and conditions * The prize includes two tickets to the BBC West Midlands Sports Awards event, taking place in National Motorcycle Musuem in Birmingham on Sunday 2nd December (insert time). * The minimum age for competition entries is 18 years. The minimum age for winner and their chosen guest is 18 years. * The event is a black tie event and therefore winners will be expected to dress accordingly in order to gain entry.
