Great food at a great price. Very friendly staff. That's why we keep going back. Well Done.

We had some Christmas shopping to do and had to decide where... The Big Wok swung it again. I know there is better Chinese food but the combination of informality and excellent value makes this about the best I know.

Went to the Big Wok today with my wife for the first time and I was amazed, for £4.99 the lunch buffet is great value. So much to choose from...it's just a shame at some point you get full! Can't fault the place in any way.

Sian from Birmingham 16:30:45 21 October 2004
Amazing place with excellent variety and over the last few weeks they have added Sushi and Sashimi to the menu...I love it...ok so the happy birthday choruses are cheesy but if you're looking for a classy joint don't go to an all you can eat place!

I've been there once with a group of women, and I enjoyed it very much. But I don't think other (older) women who went with me enjoyed it as much. Basically, some like it while others don't. Not the best, but not the worst.

I went to Big Wok last year - it was pretty bad really. I agree with the comments about the 'happy birthday' chants and poor standard of the food. I think anyone who is used to good chinese food will see that the menu and general standard reflects the cheaper produce / ingredients / location / practices that are used by this restaurant. Good for childrens parties perhaps.

Havent been to Big Wok in over a year now,but been a couple of times, there is a good selection of food, but yeah the style and atmosphere of the place is like a canteen!

Andy Bee from Stonnall 18:47:16 20 March 2004
Big Wok is a great buffet style Chinese Restaurent. I don't know why some of the above reviews are not pleased with the place, food IS NOT greasy and the cleanliness is also good. No Issues, just great food at a great price.

ANN from WALSALL 23:39:14 02 February 2004
Atmosphere is very relaxed, drinks cost about the same as any other food establishment. Food is very good value for money with plenty of variety and different tastes. I would definately recommend that you give it a try as we have used several times and will continue using it.

I have been the big wok twice now and both for birthday parties and i really enjoyed my self and so did all my friends. The food was great an all at a low price where else can you get quailty so good as this

sally from birmingham 15:52:25 20 November 2003
i have been to the big wok once and although it is basic the food was good. i like to say i never heard happy birthday sung once

Big Kun from london 21:46:53 13 October 2003
Big Wok was not the ultimate chines experience (unlike Wing Wah). At first i used to get boosted over enuff dishes. Not any more. My mate umar ate enuff noodles and rice as they were the only dishes that did not have as much oil as the middle east! and Raymund had a green curry which was proper rank! Raz did enjoy the desserts though! overall it fills u up but its full of ****

Dave from London 00:21:33 24 September 2003
i would not recommend to eat there. go there if u really want to try. i really disliked that place. it was too packed, the hygiene was a below average and the food was mediocre. Although saying that would be too kind. They dont seem to care about the quality of food, just business and money, i.e. get as much food our onto the buffet tray as quick as possible. the food there are either too dry or too oily. But if you are a hungry man, it's a good place to go.

Becky from Sutton Coldfield 13:54:22 17 September 2003
Food was excellent as was the selection and price. If you go here you have to be prepared for the fast food style atmosphere, bright lighting and queuing. Ok for a pig out with friends.

Sue Lynskey from Bromsgrove 18:44:11 28 September 2002
We have been to the Big Wok twice now. The food is excellent, it is a bit daunting with the bright lights, queues into the street etc, but where else can you get Chinese food at such a low price. There are loads of brilliant places to go before or after you've been wined and dined!!

Derek from Bournemouth 09:20:17 11 August 2002
i took my wife and 2 children and whilst it was very busy, we enjoyed the meal .Tasty dishes and a fair sweet selection .
