The food we ate was well cooked and tasty. It's peaceful and elegantly decorated inside and the ambience is relaxed and cosy. The food is perhaps slightly pricey. I know it is fresh and prepared with care - £10 or so for a nice dish - more for exotic seafood or game is perfectly reasonable. However, £3.25 for a titchy bowl of average 'fries' (more like beefeater chips imho) is a bit much. It seemed to indicate to me that the pricing is a little too arbitary. Staff were helpful, attentive, polite and friendly. I had heard that the service is slow but when we dined (admittedly early evening 19.30 - 21.00 mid-week when the restaurant was only part-full) the time between courses fairly represented cooking times. All in all a lovely restaurant. Azzari isn't in a bad area, but being on a main road close to the pub means that side-road parking nearby might be more desirable than the main road.

A charming and modernly decorated local restaurant with exceptional food and a very chilled atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special place to have a special meal with a special somebody. Would give four and a half stars - only fault was that it was difficult to find. We had the carribean chicken and the pan-fried halibut from the specials menu and both were absolutely mouthwatering!! Definitely a must!!

Have you ever dined out, and instantley forget where you are. This sums Azzari 2 up. It quite simply is a world apart from the outside surrounds of Bearwood. The food matches the impecible atmosphere, but smokers beware, you will have to leave your table to grab 5 minutes of pleasure.

I have had friends from New York and London visit me here in Birmingham and when I took them to Azzari they loved the ambience of the place. And to top that the quality of the food is second to none in Birmingham.

I have visited Azzari on many occasions and it never fails to impress me how such a small town like Bearwood can produce such a wonderful little restaurant such as this. I just wish that there were more restaurants of this calibre to choose from in the area. The only way to describe the place is fantastic, well worth a visit!

Who's responsible for only giving Barry three stars? Get back there and try it again!

What a fab place to eat! In my humble opinion as a foodie, the standard and quality of nosh equals that of Birmingham's top restaurants, like the Bank and Petit Blanc. Yet, marvel of all marvels it's a fraction of the price, although I'm sure that'll change in time! Some of the delights I have sampled here include roasted red peppers, stuffed with vine tomatoes and dolcelatte, served on fresh pasta with a chilli oil dressing. The asparagus risottos were also mouth-watering. But best of all has to be the range of fresh fish that's on offer each day. Not only are they cooked to perfection, but they're generously sized portions. Unheard of in this day and age! Re-tracing my steps to the starters, I've just remembered that their rustic bread and half roast bulb of garlic is to die for. You then drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over it, and it all melts in your mouth. It really is fusion cooking at its best, where Caribbean meets Italian and works wonderfully well.
