All aboard the Santa train!

Nov 20 2004

Climb aboard a special train in Centenary Square - departures every 20 minutes - to the winter wonderland in Chamberlain Square.

On arrival at the grotto, you’ll see a woodland forest of hundreds of Christmas trees and be met by Father Christmas’s little helpers, the Elves.

Follow the trail with its dazzling lighting effects, snowscape scenery and dozens of decorated Christmas trees until you reach Father Christmas in his special log cabin.

Children will be invited to pin their Christmas wishes on the trees and every visitor will receive a special Cadbury’s chocolate gift from Father Christmas.

On your departure, you’ll receive a hot chocolate drink and a mince pie. For an additional fee you can stop for a photograph with Santa or have your face painted. The grotto is open from tomorrow until November 30 from 11am - 6pm, then until 9pm until December 24.

Phone 0121 767 4141 or visit www.birmingham.gov.uk for more details.

Admission: £5 Price is per child and per adult (including every adult accompanying every child).

There’s a limited number of tickets available each day so buy your timed ticket in person from the station in Centenary Square.

The grotto is sponsored by Beatties, Bullring, House of Fraser, Pavilion Central, the Mall Pallasades and Cadbury and is supported by the new 96.4 BRMB and the Evening Mail.
