MOVE over Britney and Christina!

Bubbly Midland teenager Samantha Dorrance is setting the world of music and dance on fire with her glitzy routines.

Samantha, aged 15 from Short Heath, Willenhall, beat off around the challenge of 600 other competitors to be crowned the star of Disney Channel's 'You're The Star' talent contest.

Star-struck Samantha was at Birmingham's Disney store yesterday with her family and friends to launch her two-minute music video 'You Are The Music In Me' from High School Musical 2.

The teenager's fame is set to rocket as the video is broadcast on the Disney Channel UK every day during the school half-term.

Samantha, who is taught at home by her mother, Karen, has been belting out hits and dancing since she could walk and talk and reached the finals of a Blue Peter dance competition a few years go.

She was inspired to enter her dance video in the competition after she went on a family trip to Disney World in May.

Around 120,000 people voted for her homegrown video. After getting over the initial shock of winning, Samantha was whisked away to the Disney Studios in London where she was taught by a professional choreographer and singing coach for her dazzling Disney debut.

In the catchy video, Samantha belts out the hit song while dancing around in a sparkling gold mini-dress.

"I was so shocked when I heard I won around a month ago. Starring in a professional music video is something I always wanted to do," said Samantha, who has one brother, Kurt aged 8, .

"I'm doing what I love which is singing and dancing and my family and friends and family have been so supportive.

Her father, Stuart, a 36-year-old stocktaker, said: "We are really proud of her. It's fantastic. She is always singing and dancing and this is a great chance for her."

Karen, aged 34, said: "She's taking it all in her stride. This has been the best week of her life."
