Pair admit human trafficking to city brothel

Dec 5 2006

By Jane Tyler, Birmingham Mail

A HUNGARIAN couple have admitted smuggling girls into the country to work as prostitutes after a police raid on a massage parlour.

Kinga Borcsok and Atilla Makai pleaded guilty to human trafficking for the purposes of prostitution when they appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

They were both arrested after police raided Cuddles Parlour, on Hagley Road, Bearwood, last September.

It was raided by 50 officers who found 19 foreign women, mainly from eastern Europe, working as sex slaves.

Borcsok, 27, and 21-year-old Makai, both living at addresses outside of the West Midlands area, will be sentenced on January 5.

Following the raid, parlour manager Carl Pritchett, 53, from Birmingham, was found guilty of running a brothel. He was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.

Two others received community care orders for their role in running a brothel.

Cuddles, in Hagley Road, was found to be up and running again in October. It has since been re-named Bunnys.
