AN assistant head teacher who swore at pupils and then bullied one into lying to a disciplinary panel in a desperate attempt to save his job has been struck off.
Peter Glover, formerly employed at Dormston School, in Dudley, was also the director of the Mill Theatre, on the same site, and was found guilty of swearing and intimidating pupils.
England's General Teaching Council, sitting in Birmingham, heard his case yesterday and found him guilty of unacceptable professional conduct.
Mr Glover, who was not present at the hearing or legally represented, was struck off the teaching register for at least two years.
In September 2004, an amateur dramatics group which included pupils from the school, was rehearsing for a play but Mr Glover failed to provide stage equipment, forcing the group to cancel.
