YOUNG people are being invited to an afternoon at the Zanzibar nightclub, in a bid to help them find work.
Those aged 14 -19 years from Birmingham and Solihull, who are not in school, college or work, can attend free of charge next Thursday, from 1.30pm to 4pm, for the Xperience! event.
Xperience! has been organised by Birmingham & Solihull Connexions Services and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to help unemployed young people and those who are not attending school find work placements and jobs.
"Hosting the event at the Zanzibar club will enable young people to find out about job vacancies, training provider programmes, and educational courses, in an environment that is both relaxed and fun," said a Connexions spokesperson.
The afternoon will feature music from radio presenter Dave Clarke of Galaxy 102.2 and a variety of interactive stands. There will also be plenty of giveaways and prizes. Free refreshments will also be available.
