The University of Central England in Birmingham has awarded an honorary Doctorate to a well known figure.
Sir Adrian Cadbury, MA, Deputy Lieutenant of the County of the West Midlands, gains the award in recognition of his distinguished business achievements. Sir Adrian studied economics at Cambridge and joined the Cadbury business in 1952. He became chairman of Cadbury Limited 13 years later and retired as chairman of Cadbury Schweppes in 1989.
He is currently a member of the panel of conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
