ENTA Training People has promoted Kevin Hayes, director of strategy, to the position of chief executive officer.
The move comes at a time when the company is growing from strength to strength.
Enta started 25 years ago under the name Intaskill, employing just six staff. Today it employs 88 people to run a number of community-based projects.
David Harmer, chairman of the Enta board, said: "Enta is a dynamic training organisation and in recent years its activities have increased dramatically in terms of clients, staff and turnover.
"In order to relate to the world out there the board decided to appoint a chief executive to steer the company into a challenging and exciting future.
