TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Only primary, infants and junior schools may enter.  All schools must register with the Birmingham Mail to enter.  Registration deadline is Monday 22 October 2007.  Tokens will be printed in the Birmingham Mail from Monday 15 October 2007 to Saturday 10 November 2007.  Deadline for tokens to be received is Friday 16 November 2007 at the very latest.  Photocopies of tokens are not accepted.  Proof of posting or other delivery is not proof of receipt or entry and the Birmingham Mail accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged entries.  Incomplete, illegible or incorrect entries will be invalid.  No purchase necessary.  One free token can be obtained by calling the newspaper office on 0121 234 5422 on the day of publication only.  Only one token per person, per day.  The winning schools may be required to take part in publicity.  Birmingham Mail and Trinity Mirror accepts no responsibility once the prizes have been handed over.  Prize allocation is as follows - 

Schools that collect the most tokens in total.
1st and 2nd Place £2,000 each
3rd to 6th Place £1,000 each

Schools with the best/most innovative idea on what to spend the money on if they won.
2 schools get £1,000 each - minimum of 200 tokens must accompany idea.

Schools with highest number of tokens per pupil
for example 10,000 tokens in a school of 80 pupils = an average of 125 per pupil
1st and 2nd Place £1,000 each
3rd to 6th Place £500 each

£6,000 will then be split equally amongst every other school that has entered.

The best most innovative idea on what to spend the money on if they won will be decided by a panel made up of the Editor and sponsors. The Editor’s panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to. A minimum of 200 tokens must accompany idea.  School registration to the competition will automatically involve the publishing of the school name, no. of pupils and in some cases, photographs of the school staff and children.  School packs are subject to availability.  This competition is only open to primary schools in the Birmingham Mail’s catchment area. Prizes will be allocated within 28 days of notification by means of a cheque.
