Legendary DJ Judge Jules takes to the decks in Birmingham this weekend, but if you want to get close to the idol, it may be an idea to cut out the cigarettes.
As he prepares to perform at Excentric for Godskitchen, Radio One star Jules has revealed heavy smoking is a big turn-off in his books.
The mixer has just returned from a 6,000 sellout glamorous gig alongside Sonique in Egypt and says it was only spoilt by the smoky atmosphere.
"When I look back on 2005, the gig in Cairo will without question go down as one of my best of the year," says Jules.
"The only slight downside about any visit to the Middle East is the amount of people who smoke.
"In the huge arena I could feel my lungs burning with thick acrid cigarette fumes.
"Having experienced a similar smoky vibe on a recent trip to Lebanon, I can't see a US or European style smoking ban happening any time soon over there!"
Godskitchen sets the scene for a battle of the DJs with legends Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten and Fergie going head to head at Air nightspot in Digbeth.
Superstar DJ Jules and trance master Ferry Corsten both put on a three hour set each tomorrow night. While Radio One's Fergie goes a marathon six hours in the neighbouring Nitrogen Room at the club at the same time.
Dutchman Corsten is going from strength to strength and even closed the trance lineup at the first South American Music Conference, in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the end of last year.
And Fergie is sure to give revellers a treat with favourites from his record box from the likes of Jel Ford and Oscar Charlie's Moment Of Clarity to his own untitled track with Splinter Cell.
