BIRMINGHAM radio stations Heart and Galaxy are hosting a party in Birmingham later this month. The two stations are bringing together DJs Dan Kelly and Dave Kelly from Galaxy to play alongside Heart's Steve Denyer and Dave Clarke at Oceana in Hurst Street for the one-off event on June 27. Galaxy will take to the Ice House section of the club for the night to bring funky house, dance and R'n'B to clubbers and Heart will be spinning club classics in the Disco Room. DJ Steve Denyer says: "Dave Clarke and I have been playing gigs around the Midlands for years but we have never played a night together. "It'll be a fantastic event and it will be great to host a night alongside Heart's sister station." Dan Kelly from Galaxy Breakfast adds: "This is going to be one of the biggest parties of the year. "What makes it different is that it's a joint night with Heart. Myself and Dave Kelly will be playing the best house and commercial R'n'B. There'll be something for everyone, so come and join in the fun." From Monday, Heart and Galaxy are giving clubbers the chance to win VIP tickets to the event, which will include free entry to the club and access to the exclusive VIP lounge. There will also be the opportunity to party with the DJs and enjoy free drinks, food and even get complimentary shoulder massages. Entry is £2 before 10pm and £6 after 10pm. Doors are open from 9pm to 3am. |
